Exhibiting for SALA 2020, 100 Barossa Artists is the powerful culmination and curation of 100 self-portraits of visual artists from the Barossa Region.
Art is an expression of who we are and who we hope to be. The100 Barossa Artists project marks this moment in time 2020. It captures the history, importance, and emergence of creativity and artists in our community. 100 Barossa Artists gives all artists an opportunity to be recognised, to show that they count within our community, that their art practice is crucial to who they are, and who we are as a society.
In response to the threat of Covid shutting down the exhibition, an alternative exhibition platform was imagined. The entire 100 Barossa Artists will also be projected every night between 6 and 10 pm during the month of August on the windows of the Barossa Council's Barossa Regional Gallery.
