Like all great success stories, the story of the birth of Boyntonâ??s Feathertop Winery is filled with passion, adventure, disappointment and fear but above all strength, determination and an individuals belief in his dream despite the odds.
Boyntons was established in 1989 by Kel Boynton and today remains a family owned business.
Feathertop Wines captures the essences of nature and the beauty and crispness of the Alpine Valleys which surround the winery.
The release of Feathertop seven years ago was an exciting time. This new label moving away from Boynton's Wines, is seen to reflect a close tie into the environment that defines our wines.
Feathertop represents Mountain Feathertop which is the commanding feature in our Alpine Valley region. The mountain not only visually shelters our valley and influences the air currents, but it has defined the soil structure in which we grow our grapes, as well as providing us the fresh Alpine spring water that flows and nourishes our vines. These environmental conditions are integral in the process of our wines, they form the rock that we stand on.
