Turmeric Gardens is an eco-friendly property. Our house and cottages were built mainly out of recovered materials. All of our fresh water is entirely rain-harvested. Waste water is managed through grey water systems and our toilets are composting in nature.
Guests are free to roam most of the 14.5 acres, the majority of which is natural timbered bush . Areas of steep terrain exist, as well as stony or slippery ground underfoot, so non-slip covered footwear is recommended for exploring. Views of Blackall Range and a dam and 3 ponds are quite picturesque but guests with small children please be vigilant about their safety.
